On 1995, L. Antonio Perasso begun to study Buddhism and the practice of meditation. Throughout this process, he  had the valuable opportunity to receive teachings from prominent contemporary masters and to participate in several retreats that have deepened his understanding of the mind and its dynamics.

Along his searching, he has thoroughly explored the roots of Buddhist Psychology, particularly focused on fundamental texts of Early Buddhism and others post canonic texts such as Abhidharma and Buddhist Pramāna school. Moreover, he has been to different meditation retreats in Chile, India, Nepal and USA of the Tibetan tradition and practised Vipassana meditation retreats in Thailand and Sri Lanka an experience that allowed him to study empirically the connection between meditation and the human mind.

Currently he teaches courses on Buddhism and Buddhist Psychology in different institutions and offers his experience as a therapist and counselor following the MBTC method. His clear approach aims to help people to recognize and control their emotional states promoting its transformation, applying the wisdom of Buddhism combined with contemporary practices of mindfulness and psychology.

Deciding to deepening his understanding of the interaction between Buddhism and psychology, he pursued his studies at the IBC (Thailand), and in 2017 he obtained a MA in Buddhist Studies non-sectarian.

In 2020, in Thailand, he got a Master's Degree in Mindfulness, strengthening his skills in the field of contemplative tradition and its integration in psychotherapy. The following year, under the guidance of the psychiatrist Dr. Yonyud Wongpiromsarn, he became certified as an MBTC (Mindfulness Based Therapy and Counseling) Therapist and Coach.
